February:

• 4 - Polar Plunge at Lake Arthur (Communications support requested to work with Plunge Officials, Park Rangers, Scuba Team, etc.)

• 27 - Skywarn Spotter Training at 6:30pm (Lawrence County Dept. of Public Safety) Registration required at:  http://www.weather.gov/pbz/skywarn


March:

• 12 - Lawrence County has Net Control duties for the Western PA PEMA/ACS net on 3.990.50 LSB at 9:00am


April:

• 1 - PTA 5K, Penn State Shenango


May:

• 7 – Pittsburgh Marathon

• 13-14 - US Air Force Reserve airshow in Moon Township

• 14 - Race for the Cure in Pittsburgh


June:

• 10 - 11 – Bike MS: Escape to the Lake 2017

• 24 - 25 – Field Day at 914 Mosser Drive in New Castle


July:

• 23 – Pittsburgh Tour de Cure


August:

• 27 - Lawrence County has Net Control duties for the Western PA PEMA/ACS net on 3.990.50 LSB at 9:00am

September:

• 24 – Pittsburgh Great Race


Weekly Nets:


  • WPA ARES Daily Voice Net:  3983.00 LSB with a 6:00 PM check in.

  • Monday night ARES D-Star Net:  Every Monday night at 9:00 PM the ARES D-Star Net is held on reflector 63 C.

  • Tuesday night D-Star Net: Every Tuesday night a D-Star Net is held on reflector 10 C.  The Net will start at 8PM EST.  Connect via the New Castle repeater, KB3YBB, which is connected directly to reflector 10 C.  The New Castle D-Star repeater is on frequency 443.075 with an offset of +5.

  • Thursday night Voice Net: The Amateur Radio League of Lawrence County and the Lawrence County ARES Group Meets on Thursdays at 8:30 PM on 147.195 + MHz, N3ETV, with a tone of 131.8. All licensed amateurs are encouraged to check in.

  • Saturday morning WPA ARES HF Net: 3983.00 LSB with a 9:00 AM check in. Roll is taken by county.

  • Sunday morning ACS net (1st Sunday of the month): Statewide net starting at 8:00 am.  3.993.50 LSB.

  • Sunday morning RACES/ACS HF Net: 3990.5 LSB with a 9:00 AM check in.  You must be on the roster to check in for Lawrence County. Send an email to kb3wcu@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the roster.

  • Sunday morning ACS paNBEMS Net: 3.5835 MHz USB - using 8/500 Olivia, 1000 Hz center waterfall frequency with a 10am check in.

  • Sunday morning paNBEMS 40M Net:  7.0725 MHz USB with a 11:00 am check in.

  • Sunday night paNBEMS 80 meter Bulletin net:  3.583 USB using MFSK-32 with a 1700 Hz center waterfall frequency with a 8:30 PM check in.  You must be running Flamp and RxID must be enabled on Fldigi.
